How it works.
Four steps to a connected school.

The process is simple. If a nomination is selected, Infini-fi handles everything all the school needs to do is say yes.

Nominate

Submit a school in your community using the nomination form below. Any qualifying school in a Vuma coverage area is eligible.

Review

The Infini-fi team reviews all nominations against the eligibility criteria, prioritising need, coverage, and community impact.

Selection

Shortlisted schools are contacted directly. We confirm coverage, discuss installation logistics, and agree on a date.

Connected

Our team installs the fibre and sets up all equipment. The school goes live, fully connected, from day one.

Who qualifies?

Infini-Futures is open to schools across the Vuma fibre network. Nominations are assessed on the criteria below.
School criteria
  • Must be a registered South African school
  • Located within a Vuma fibre network coverage area
  • Currently without reliable fibre connectivity
  • Willing to accept a fibre installation on site
  • Public and community schools are prioritised

FAQs
Questions, answered.

Does the school pay anything?

Nothing at all. For selected schools, the fibre installation, equipment, line fees and data are fully covered, with no hidden charges.

What does the free fibre service include?

Selected schools receive free, fast and uncapped fibre with speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Connectivity is delivered over the Vuma fibre network, with Infini-fi providing the internet service and support.

How do I check whether a school is in coverage?

You can check Vuma coverage here . If you are unsure, submit the nomination and our team will verify the school's coverage during the review process.

How are schools selected?

Each nomination is reviewed based on factors such as Vuma network coverage, the school's connectivity needs and the information provided in the application. Selected schools will be contacted directly by the programme team.

Can I nominate more than one school?

Yes, you are welcome to nominate more than one school. Each nomination is reviewed independently, so please complete a separate form for every school.

Who provides the fibre connection?

The fibre connectivity is delivered over the Vuma network. Infini-fi supports the initiative as the internet service provider, helping selected schools get connected and supported.
